The official premiere of the catamaran is scheduled for Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2024, and more details of the new boat will be gradually made public
The design of the Aquila 50 Yacht Power Catamaran is largely built around the high bow section, which makes it similar to expedition yachts. According to the creators, the “explorer aesthetics” will allow the Aquila 50 Yacht Power Catamaran to compare favouarably with other yachts and will make it more sea-worthy.
The aft section of the Aquila 50 Yacht Power Catamaran is quite conventional and open to the sea. There is a lounge with a large table in the cockpit, which can also be used as a dining area, and there is a bar stand with tables at the entrance to the saloon.
In addition to a bar with a grille the flybridge also houses a dining area with a sofa and a table, while a retractable tent concealed in the hardtop provides shelter for the aft part. The walkway on the starboard side and a small staircase allow for quick access from the flybridge to the foredeck. One can suppose that the lounge area here will be transformable and used as a sunpad or an area for relaxation.
For now, two layout options have been revealed: with three or four cabins, with a number of guests varying from six to eight. All the cabins are ensuite, and there is an option of a crew cabin, too.
In addition to the first renderings showing what the Aquila 50 Yacht Power Catamaran will look like, some technical specifications have been unveiled, too. The length of the catamaran is 15.9 m, and the beam is 7.76 m. With twin 480 hp Volvo Penta D6 engines the provisional top speed of the boat is up to 22 knots, while the cruising speed is 18-19 knots. The shipyard says that other propulsion systems are available, too, including the hybrid ones, as well as installing solar panels and other options.
The prices for the model and the standard specifications are expected to be made public at the end of summer or early in the autumn, but it is already possible to book a slot for building the new model.
