With the new 30-metre Evo R9, Evo Yachts is getting ready to measure itself against the best Italian and Northern European shipyards

With a hull and a topside of aluminium, and a superstructure of carbon fibre this new vessel is destined “to write a new chapter in the history of a brand”. In addition to her impressive performance, the manufacturers promise the future owners of the Evo R9 a highest level of customization.

The boat was designed by Valerio Rivellini and his Rivellini & Engineering Yacht Design studio in close collaboration with the inhouse technical office. She stands out for expansive glazed surfaces and a topside almost concealed behind the high windshield,  which also functions as a radar mast.

Just like other Evo Yachts models, the exterior design features rugged, aggressive shapes and sharp lines, as well as an ability to transform. Thus, the Evo R9’s aft section will increase and transform with the help of fold-out side terraces.

The yacht will provide comfortable accommodation for six to eight guests and a crew of four, as well as a high level of privacy on board.

As for the propulsion system, there will be two or three 2200 hp engines, which can deliver a top speed of 50 or 58 knots respectively. The provisional cruising speed is 40-44 knots.

The shipyard showers its new brainchild generously with descriptions like “unprecedented”, “extraordinary”, “revolutionary” and “stunning”, but for now it has not been revealed at what stage the project currently is and when the model will be unveiled to the public.

Even with the impressive top speed of 58 knots (which will still have to be confirmed in the course of trials), the Evo R9 is unlikely to enter our current Top 10 world's fastest yachts.
