Italian Ferretti Yachts decided to extend their range with a 23.70 m Infynito 80 crossover
The Infynito 80 that made a debut at boot Düsseldorf joins the Infynito 90 model presented earlier. These two models from the same range have both similar and different features, so one can’t just call the newcomer a smaller copy of her elder sister.
Environmental friendliness, unprecedented flexibility and innovative layouts - all of these can be found on board. Just like the Infynito 90, the younger model can boast not only an All-Season Terrace at the bow, but also a sundeck that can be both open and semi-closed - a feature that is unique to the Infynito 80.
The first hull of the 23.70-metre yacht that is 6.36 m wide is being built at the Marina di Ravenna shipyard. In addition to Ferretti Group Engineering Department, Filippo Salvetti was in charge of the exterior, while the interiors were developed by Ideaeitalia. The exterior design is somewhat reminiscent of another Ferretti Group brand – wallywhy200. But still the Infynito 80 is less futuristic and far more ‘classical’ and elegant.
According to the shipyard, Infynito 80 was designed ‘for people who love the sea’, so that is why there are almost no boundaries between the indoor and outdoor spaces. For instance, the 18 sq. m beach club with a large sofa can be used for recreation by the water, while the area in the aft cockpit can be used as a lounge or a dining area. In the standard version the sundeck is totally open, but it can be made semi-closed with the help of glass panels. There is an alfresco dining area in the shade of a hardtop, and sun loungers and an open galley forward.
The interiors layout may also change to meet the owners’ requests. The dining room in the standard configuration can be replaced with an open kitchen and a bar with high chairs. The galley is located on the main deck forward, next to the protected 13-m All-Season Terrace, which can be configured as a a dinette or a bar.
The 43-square-metre lower deck has a master suite, a VIP cabin and two guest cabins. There are also crew quarters for three people.
The motor yacht’s hardtop is equipped with solar panels and an Energy Bank of 14 high-density lithium batteries. A special focus was also made on using green materials like bamboo fabrics, regenerated leather, recyclable materials, water-based paints and lamellar teak.
The Infynito 80 can be powered by twin MAN V12. With twin optional engines of 1400 hp the crossover will reach a maximum speed of 23 knots, while the cruising speed will be 18 knots. The expected range is about 1000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
“After INFYNITO 90, we developed the range’s second model with the aim of retaining some of this design's unique and inimitable characteristics, while also adding new features tailored for a project of a different size. We’re proud to present INFYNITO 80, a solution with above-average covered exterior space, enabling owners to enjoy the yacht in all seasons and weather conditions but without sacrificing direct contact with the sea, the surrounding environment or the sun,” said designer Filippo Salvetti.
