The new range of sailing superyachts will be aimed at the discerning and forward-thinking owners and help the shipyard gain a footing in the segment of maxi yachts

The Finnish shipyard is currently developing several directions, but the new range of alloy superyachts is one of its most significant initiatives.

For Nautor Swan, this venture represents rather a bold step not just in terms of size, but also material. The shipyard that specializes in composite sailboat construction will surely turn to Italian Sanlorenzo’s expertise that she had recently been acquired by.

As for Edmiston, the company is sure that Nautor Swan’s status as legendary brand in sailing will drive the project to global success.

The first unit in the new alloy range will be created by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, whose design philosophy is based on a combination of performance, comfort, innovation, elegance and modernity.

“McKeon’s expertise will push the boundaries of performance while retaining the timeless beauty and tradition for which Swan yachts are renowned, while also ensuring the authenticity of the Swan experience for new and existing customers”, said the spokesperson for Nautor Swan.

The alloy sailing yachts are expected to honour Nautor Swan’s iconic aesthetics, while focusing on safety, comfort, long-range cruising ability, with no compromise to sailing performance. Eco-friendliness will also be at the core of every design, incorporating such cutting-edge solutions as hydrogeneration and other sustainable technologies used by Sanlorenzo, including methanol and hydrogen.

“Sanlorenzo and Nautor Swan share similar values, catering to a club of “connoisseur” yachtsmen who are passionate about the sea. We are actively exploring new markets, and have exciting plans ahead of us with sailing also positioning itself as a sustainable choice. Our partnership with Edmiston is a natural progression of our shared vision which opens up new opportunities for the future of both brands”, said Massimo Perotti, Executive Chairman of Sanlorenzo.
