British Oyster Yachts teamed up with the world-renowned Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering to design the composite sailing yacht with several options for the deck hardware, sail plan and interior layout
The Oyster 36V’s deep-V bow and wide stern will ensure her safety and comfort. The hull will be constructed of the yard’s signature high-tech "custom" composite laminate, consisting of a hybrid mix of high-strength E-glass and carbon fiber bound together with a high-performance hybrid vinylester resin. Above the water, it will utilise a lightweight and robust sandwich cored structure, ensuring stiffness and thermal insulation.
The yacht features a modern Bermuda sloop rig setup of 670 sq.m and combines racing technology with advanced automation, enabling safe transoceanic cruising with a small crew. The sail plan and deck equipment configuration can be fully tailored to the owner’s specific requirements, ranging from circumnavigation to superyacht regattas.
At the bow, the Oyster 36M introduces a configurable forward retreat, which can be specified to meet owners’ individual requirements, including sun protection and a jacuzzi, creating a private space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. At the stern, the expansive cockpit and beach club draw life aboard towards the water. The centrepiece is ‘The Island’, a platform that can be lowered to provide access to the sea or raised to create an additional terrace over the water.
The garage below deck aft can accommodate a tender, jet skis, diving and water sports gear.
The Oyster 36M’s flexible interior concept and design developed by Milan-based studio m2atelier, offering the owner an extensive choice of materials and finishes. All the living areas are located on one level: there are no steps between the main saloon with panoramic glazing and the aft cockpit, connected directly through a sliding glass partition. The yacht is available in three-, four- and five-cabin layouts, with the owner’s suite featuring a desk, a dressing room, and a generous bathroom with a double sink.
