The Pearl 100 Hybrid was designed for the owners who want “to cruise cleaner, quieter, and further, without compromise on luxury or performance”
The yacht was developed by Dixon Yacht Design (naval architecture) and Kelly Hoppen Interiors (interior).
The Pearl 100 Hybrid’s sporty exterior features rather a brutal colour combination of grey metallic and glossy black.
The flybridge, which is home to the upper helm, a lounge with a bar, a pool, a sunbathing area and a Technogym wellness area, is partially sheltered with a hard top, but can be made more open to the sun thanks to the tilt-and-slide rooftop.
The raised pilot house allowed for a split-level space at the bow: a lounge area with sofas adjoins the superstructure, while the forepeak, which is a meter lower, can serve as a dedicated owner’s deck, as it can be accessed from the owner’s suite.
The cockpit, which is home to a dining area and a large sunpad, can increase considerably with the help of fold-down side terraces. The swim platform can be extended and submerged completely under the water, which is convenient for launching Williams Dieseljet 445, Sea-Doo Spark and a few seabobs stored in the aft garage.
There are five guest cabins, including the owner’s suite, and the crew quarters consist of two cabins with a dining area and a service entrance. The owners can choose out of three interior style options: Indulgence, Modern and Monochrome, which allows them to style the yacht in accordance with their individual preferences.
The hybrid propulsion mentioned in the model’s name is probably its key highlight. It comprises twin MAN V12 engines of 2000 hp and an E-Motion hybrid system, which allows for several operation modes, including silent zero-emission cruising and an opportunity to power the hotel load at anchor. The yacht’s provisional top speed is 24 knots.
Pearl Yachts Founder and Managing Director, Iain Smallridge, believes that Pearl 100 Hybrid is currently the most ambitious project in the yard’s portfolio. “The Pearl 100 Hybrid marks a pivotal moment for Pearl Yachts. As our first hybrid model and our largest to date, it embodies our vision of what the future of yachting should be: elegant, liveable, efficient and sustainable,” he said.
