The concept named Blade marks the beginning of Italian ISA Yachts’ (part of Palumbo Superyachts) collaboration with Lobanov Design run by Igor Lobanov

ISA Yachts already has its Gran Turismo line, comprising models ranging from 45 to 70 m and boasting excellent performance and a high level of comfort. The combination of a sporty nature with an oceanic range and elegant style made them bestsellers.

Igor Lobanov, who has his first degree in maths and a master's in car design, has a reputation of a bold, ingenious creator, whose yachts stand out for sculptural shapes and often ultra-modern, futuristic appearance.

The joint project involving such experienced and ambitious participants promises to become a trendsetter for boatbuilders.

The ISA Blade 70М comes across as a powerful, dynamic boat, perfect in terms of aerodynamics, yet elegant and wonderfully balanced. The creators drew inspiration from the elegant ships designed between the late 19th and early 20th centuries and set a goal of creating “the most elegant and stylistically recognisable yacht in the grand sport segment”.

The steel hull and aluminium superstructure are a continuous sculptural shape with a reference to hypercars. The hull’s graphics are intentionally integrated into the volume, while it is the glazing that creates a strong and distinctive graphic accent. The superstructure is composed entirely of glass panels and black-painted surfaces, topped by a subtle dynamic curve that evokes speed and motion even when the yacht is static.

The bow, which is slightly reversed, concave in profile and enriched with stainless-steel details, adds masculinity to the yacht’s exterior. The unexpected black insert positioned forward, close to the waterline, creates another strong and distinctive graphic accent.

The ISA Blade 70’s renderings provided by the yard demonstrate generous outdoor lounge, two pools, a wide swim platform and unusual transom, which serves as a gate to the garage and becomes a bench overlooking the sea when closed.

The yacht’s internal volume is 1,300 GT, but the layout and interior design details are currently kept under wraps. The only detail available now is that the master suite is located aft on the upper deck and features a private terrace with an opportunity to wake up to open sea views in complete privacy.

Twin MTU 12V4000 M53L engines of 1,771 kW each will deliver a provisional top speed of 17.5 knots. At a cruising speed of 14 knots, the yacht will boast a range of 5,000 nautical miles.

“ISA Blade 70 metres represents a new interpretation of the ISA Yachts DNA and a project of significant strategic value. The collaboration with Lobanov Design is rooted in a shared vision of strong design, identity and innovation. This yacht is just the first step: together with the studio, we are already developing a larger superyacht,” said Giuseppe Palumbo, Sole Director of Palumbo Superyachts.
