The Italian shipyard, Picchiotti Yachts, which is part of The Italian Sea Group (TISG), officially revealed its P-Fleet line at the last Monaco Yacht Show. The 63-metre flagship P63 with a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and internal volume over 1,000 GT was revealed first. The details about the smaller model were unveiled ahead of the Monaco Yachting Festival 2026. The difference is not only in length, as the Р53 is all-aluminium and with a length of 53 m and a beam of 10 m, her internal volume will be 499 GT, which optimises the running costs.

The yacht was designed by the TISG R&D department in collaboration with Picchiotti Centro Stile, which is the Group’s in-house design, styling and architectural division.

The decision to use aluminium alloy both for the hull and superstructure was made in order to reduce the vessel’s weight and enhance the efficiency. Twin MAN V12 engines will allow the Р53 to reach the top speed of up to 18 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. With a fuel capacity of 50,000 L, the yacht can boast impressive autonomy: her provisional range at the economy speed of 10 knots will be 4,000 nautical miles.

As for the layout, the designers wanted to create a stylish and comfortable boat for a a “contemporary owner" who “lives many lives”, from entertaining guests to enjoying moments of solitude.

The sporty exterior with elongated profile lines is sure to look impressive at full speed. At anchor, the vessel will turn into a floating residence capable of offering numerous leisure scenarios.

All the spaces on board are highly adjustable and can “change rhythm while retaining coherence”. According to the yard’s idea, there should be a "natural passage" from one area to another: morning time for fitness can be followed by relaxing by one of the two pools or in the beach club aft with four fold-down terraces. After lunch, one can spend some time reading or playing games in cosy comfortable lounge areas, and in the evening, there can be a noisy dinner with family and friends.

The P53 can accommodate up to 12 guests across six cabins, as well as a crew of 10 across five cabins. The owner’s suite of 120 sq.m, as well as all other living spaces, feature panoramic glazing, which makes the sea “an active part of life on board”.

According to Picchiotti Yachts, the avant-garde nature of the model is about the transition from the Gentelman yacht to more contemporary architecture. While earlier designs drew on nostalgic motifs from 1960s motor yachts, the new P-Fleet series, and the P53 model in particular, sets a new, futuristic direction for the brand.

“The Picchiotti P53 is the most current form of an ancient vocation: designing yachts able to read their own time and, at the same time, the identity of those who choose them," says the statement from the shipyard.
