Silent Yachts shipyard with a production facility in Italian Fano has announced that its largest solar-powered model is nearing completion
The 24-metre (80 ft) Silent SY 80 model in its 2-Deck version will be unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival running from 9 to 14 September 2025. Just like the junior Silent 62 model, later on this model will be joined by the 3-Deck version, including the enclosed flybridge variation (3-Deck Closed).

All the three versions may have different main deck layouts: with a spacious master cabin and a generous open plan saloon (the master cabin is located on the lower deck then). The Silent SY80 is capable of accommodating up to 12 guests across six cabins, while the lower deck can be tailored in different ways. There will also be a lot of storage options for all kinds of water toys.

According to the shipyard, the Silent SY 80 will be capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots. With twin electric motors of 180 kW, the cruising speed will be 7-8 knots. The yacht features an impressive battery capacity of 522 kW/h (standard) and 696 kW/h (optional) with a peak solar array of 22.4 kW/p. For cloudy days, there are twin 145 kW diesel generators. The catamaran is expected to hit the water in the nearest few weeks.
