St Barths Bucket is a maxi yacht regatta that has taken place annually since 1996 in Saint Barthélemy, the Caribbean

It is a great honour to win it, as there is fierce competition among the top sailing yachts in the world. St. Barths always pleases the participants with steady winds and impressive landscapes. The regatta takes place among numerous coastal rocks and islets that serve as natural marks of the course.

This time the winner was determined literally at the last moment and as a result of three days of tight racing. The competition is run in a few classes, and the overall winner is the leader in her class with the best or closest to best results in all the races.

St Barths Bucket is the first regatta in the racing career for the nearly 33-meter Gelliceaux. As the owners of the yacht that are happy with her debut put it, “We never even dreamt of winning the Bucket as we are awed by the legendary programs who had won previously. Gelliceaux performed well above expectations and we are extremely proud of the entire team.”

One should also note that the Gelliceaux is the first superyacht for her owning couple. It is also interesting to know that they shared the helm and steered for no less than 95% of the entire regatta. Now they are determined to add some European maxi regattas awards to their trophy collection.
