PROyachting J/70 Cup final to take place in Sochi late in October

The competition has been held since 2021 and boasts the status of the Russian Cup in the J/70 Class. The regatta is organized by PROyachting company and supported by the Russian Yachting Federation 

The regatta will bring together sailors from various regions of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Udmurt Republic, Krasnodar and Primorsky Krai, as well as Sverdlovsk, Samara and Rostov regions.

The contenders for the podium this season are Karen Stepanyan’s Bars Sailing Team (3 points), Grigory Sokolovsky’s Aladdin (6 points), Vladimir Shishkin’s Calipso (13 points), Elvira Pinchuk’s Ptichki Sailing Team (14 points) and Petr Bukin’s W Sailing Team (16 points). Double points in the final increase the cost of every mistake and make the competition really tense.
