Russo Trans wins third stage of Sochi Winter Cup by PROyachting

14 teams from different cities of Russia came to take part in Sochi Winter Cup 2025/26 for modern J/70 sport yachts

Two races were held on the first day of the competition, when there was a south-easterly wind of 10 to 17 knots and waves of one meter high. Russo Trans took the lead at once (4 points), but Zecurion team finished the day with the same number of points and became second. Dream Team with 7 points was third.

On Saturday, the weather was fine again, and there were five more races of the third stage in Sochi Winter Cup. WinWind team made a strong bid for prizes, scoring 19 points, moving up two positions and displacing Dream Team (22 points) from the third place. Russo Trans managed to pull ahead of its main rival, Zecurion, by 5 points and retained its leading position.

The final day of the competition tested the sailors with challenging weather conditions.  Despite a difficult race on Sunday, Russo Trans team still managed to secure the gold and won the third stage. 

On Sunday, Zecurion managed to close the gap with the leader of the race significantly, but still lacked one point and got silver medals. WinWind took the third step on the podium.
