The race was held for modern J/70 yachts, and the distinctive feature of the Lady’s Race is that only girls can be at the helm with no more than one man permitted in the crew
Eight crews took part in the regatta, and there were only four men out of 38 participants. The Victory went to the Galina Blanca team – regulars at PROyachting regattas (Julia Fedotova, Victoria Uvarova, Ekaterina Erkina, Tatiana Aluker and Alexey Vasiliev).
“We are really pleased with the result! The atmosphere was special, incredibly positive and festive – like a perfect girls’ party! It’s the first time we have taken part in a Lady’s Race and there was a sense of total female synergy on board. We would like to have more of such races. I’d like to thank the girls from the team and, certainly, our tactician who believes in us, appreciates our humor and invests his knowledge and energy!”, said Julia Fedotova.
It's the third time PROyachting has held this kind of competition. The first Lady’s Race was held at Royal Yacht Club in Moscow in 2024.
