The shipyard has already started construction on the catamaran at its facility in the UAE. Upon the delivery, the vessel will join Messi's MIM Ocean fleet, based in the Balearic Islands

One of the Sunreef Ultima 88’s distinct features is the yard’s Ocean Lounge with fold-down platforms, designed for doing water sports and having fun right by the water.

Next to it, there is a garage for storing a jet ski and water toys, while the tender can be stored on the swim platform between the catamaran’s hulls.

Generous exterior lounges compirse a beach club with sunpads, a dining area with a bar in the cockpit, a foredeck lounge and a large flybridge, where in addition to the bar, a dining and a sunbathing area, there is also enough space for a gym and a jacuzzi.

The interior space of the main deck can be united with the cockpit. The saloon open-plan layout allows for arranging not only a dining area and a lounge, but also a galley on the port side forward.

The internal space of about 280 GT offers four guest cabins below deck. The full-beam owner’s suite is located forward.

“My family and I have always loved spending time at sea whenever we get the chance. Sunreef Yachts have the style and features I really like, and they’re a perfect fit for what I’m looking for. I’m really looking forward to experiencing the Ultima 88 and enjoying it with my family,” said Lionel Messi.

The Polish shipyard also reports that Lionel Messi has joined the House of Sunreef, which is a group of Sunreef owners and family members including Fernando Alonso, Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz and Robert Lewandowski.

We are incredibly proud to welcome Leo Messi and his family to the House of Sunreef,” commented Francis Lapp, Sunreef Yachts Founder and CEO.
