Refurbishment of La Spezia Riva shipyard complete

Ferretti Group has held the official opening ceremony of its Riva shipyard after a comprehensive refurbishment

The shipyard’s major shareholders, employees, local authorities and  Ferretti CEO Alberto Galassi have attended the ceremony  

“The La Spezia production site now plays a crucial industrial role and employs over 750 workers on a daily basis, including 200 direct employees, representing a strategic centre for Ferretti Group in the area of the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Seas," said Ferretti Group spokesperson. 

The yard’s production and administrative facilities with a total area of 64,000 square meters have been upgraded, as well as 33 berths and the lounge area used to host visiting boat owners, captains and crew. 

Besideds, four industrial sheds and two painting sheds have been refurbished, and the space is now complete with new photovoltaic plants. 

At present the shipyard manufactures seven Riva models measuring 23 to 40 metres in length. According to Ferretti Group, when the shipyard is fully operational, La Spezia Riva facility will be capable of producing over 30 boats a year.
