¸Right after the contract was signed, Turkish RMK Yachts and Monaco-based Espen Oeino International announced that they are ready to start design work as early as December 2025
Everything that is currently known about the future yacht is the length of 50 m and the fact that she will feature a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.
Espen Oeino is believed to create a forward-looking design that will bring the next decade of yachting into today’s market. She will combine classic craftsmanship and modern innovation, robust engineering with contemporary elegance.
Commenting on the project, the world-famous designer underscored the competitive character of the 50-metre segment and noted that it is ideal for discovering most coastlines, especially when paired with a capable chase boat.
“I do believe we are heading towards a future with yachts which are not just more sustainable but also more fit for purpose. This will translate into yachts that provide more meaningful experiences with less environmental impact and less trouble for both owners and crew. RMK Yachts is a great partner for such a project, because we all are passionate about the sea, yacht design, and yacht building. And also they have formidable industrial strength.”
Director of RMK Yachts, Cüneyt Okcu, expressed his enthusiasm for the joint effort, too: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Espen Oeino, one of the most respected names in yacht design. His vision and creativity perfectly align with RMK’s commitment to building yachts that go beyond time, both in quality and in design.”
RMK Yachts is based in Tuzla, a district of Istanbul Province, on the coast of the Marmara Sea, and occupies the area 95,000 sq.m. The shipyard is capable of completing all the construction stages from design to finishing on its own, which guarantees a highest level of quality.
The official presentation of the 50-metre project is scheduled for Q2 2026.
