About Arcadia Yachts shipyard

Italian Arcadia Yachts shipyard that appeared in 2008 in Naples is one of the rare few yacht manufacturers that came up with an idea, believed in it and keeps following it.

The name of the shipyard is really telling and explains a lot. Arcadia is a place in paradise where people live in perfect harmony with nature and therefore are absolutely happy. And if it is a utopia and something unattainable for classical literature, the concept of “Ecological dream” followed by Arcadia Yachts is quite viable and is implemented in their yachts.

At first the market reacted to both the ideas and the shipyard that is still managed by charismatic and cheerful Ugo Pellegrino in quite a skeptical way. Bold, radical design and non-trivial solitons were taken as either horribly disgusting or amazingly appealing. Over the years the shipyard managed to extend its pool of fans and increase the production facility, and its “green” ideas are quite relevant today and in tune with the all-European trend for sustainable development.

Highlights

Arcadia Yachts builds mainly of fiberglass and uses aluminium for superstructures. The shipyard’s models are considered to be semi-custom, as the owners have an opportunity to change the layouts and adjust various areas to their taste.

Arcadia Yachts relies mainly on semi-displacement hulls, which demonstrate good performance and fuel efficiency at the same time. In addition to conventional propulsion systems some of the models feature hybrid diesel-electric propulsion

Sherpa range models feature extraordinary design with trawler type superstructures and vast exterior spaces. A range features crossovers that look futuristic, boast expansive glazing, seamless transitions from exterior to interior areas and good internal volume. The A96 model stands out and is believed to be a new evolution stage of the shipyard.

Arcadia Yachts equips its vessels with solar panels that are sometimes integrated right into the glass roofs. The energy accumulated in the batteries allows the guests to use all the onboard household equipment and enjoy a few hours of complete silence.

Achievements

The shipyard’s yachts are constantly awarded with numerous international awards, mainly for innovations, as they stand out for the cutting-edge technology and non-standard approach. Arcadia Yachts models’ avant-garde exterior and eco-friendliness are quite often marked with awards, too.
