About Mangusta shipyard

Italian Overmarine Group, which manufactures Mangusta yachts, was founded in 1985. Initially they worked only in the Maxi Open segment: large, sports, open yachts equipped with water-jets. Later, displacement yachts with a transatlantic range were added, too.

Highlights

There are three lines in Mangusta model range. Mangusta Maxi Open are performance yachts made of innovative composite materials equipped with water-jets. Mangusta GranSport are superyachts with hulls of composite materials or light aluminium alloy with a lower speed, but a transoceanic range at economical speed. Mangusta Oceano is a line of composite and steel displacement yachts, which are not high performance, but have a large range. Regardless of performance characteristics all Mangusta models have a recognizable design and light aerodynamic lines. Each yacht can be customized in accordance with the owner’s requests, and it applies not only to the interior design and layout, but exterior lines too.

Achievements

Mangusta has few competitors in the segment of open, high-performance yachts, as reaching the speed of 50 knots is a technically challenging task, which requires innovational technologies and sophisticated hull design. This Italian shipyard’s yachts are regular winners of the most prestigious awards for design and as the best in their category.
