Infynito 80: an all-season terrace above the sea
One of the keys to a yacht’s success is the right balance of interior and exterior spaces on board
According to the shipyard, the answer to this dilemma is the versatility of spaces, and that is exactly what motivated Ferretti Yachts to create the concept of an all-season terrace, which became the key highlight of the Infynito 80.
The foredeck is the first space on board to get empty in bad weather. The aft cockpit is protected with a flybridge overhang forward, and the hard top plays the same role for the flybridge. But the foredeck is not protected in any way, except for perhaps a canvas canopy that can be retractable or removable. No wonder Ferretti team targeted this very area in order to increase the space that will stay usable under any circumstances.
The Infynito 80 features a private space of 13 sq.m that can be used in any weather. From above, it is protected with a top featuring tilting glass louvres in the central part, while the sides can be open or closed thanks to the electrically operated glazed surface. It is a comfortable private space with a dining room or a bar and a sofa, depending on the owner’s preferences.
The same applies to the flybridge. The standard version is open all over, except for the hard top. By the way, the first Infynito 80 features this variant, too. But the flybridge can also be mae partially enclosed by adding a windshield and side glazing forward, where there is a helm station, a bar and an al fresco dining area, while the aft part will still be open.
Two layout options are offered for the main deck. In the saloon of 29 sq.m there can be either a formal dining area in the middle, or an open galley with a bar and high stools.
The main galley with an extra dinette is located forward, with an electrically operated sliding glass door separating it from the all-season terrace.
The helm station is a raised wheelhouse located between the main deck and flybridge levels. Staircases connect it to the second helm station on the flybridge and a hall forward of the galley, which allows the crew to move easily, staying invisible for the guests.
There are four ensuite cabins for eight people below deck. The master suite amidships offers an ample space of 18 sq.m. Further aft there are crew quarters that include two more cabins for three people, with an independent access from the port side.
As for the propulsion, there are options, too. The first unit is equipped with a couplf of more powerful optional MAN V12 of 1400 hp each. They allow the yacht to reach a top speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots. With standard engines of 1200 hp each, the figures will be a couple of knots lower. Thanks to the new highly efficient hull, the Ferretti Infynito 80 boasts a range of 1200 nautical miles at 10 knots.
The icing on the cake offered by Ferretti Infynito 80 is F.S.E.A. technology (Ferretti Sustainable Enhanced Architecture), which is a a package of environmentally friendly cruising solutions. Firstly, it means green finishing materials – natural and recyclable, minimizing the environmental impact). They are water-based paints, regenerated leather (85% natural and 15% synthetic), and lamellar teak with FSC 5 certification, which means it is sourced sustainably. Secondly, it is a set of photovoltaic panels installed on the hard top and on the roof of the all-season terrace. They are connected to the energy bank, which allows them to accumulate energy for the yacht’s systems. It is not only a beautiful marketing trick that attracts eсo-conscious customers, but a very practical solution, too.
