The impression that the second generation of the sport cruiser Pardo 43 (P43) unveiled in 2026 at the Miami International Boat Show made on the public was as powerful as…nine years ago 

Pardo Yachts started manufacturing the 14-metre model back in 2017, and since that time the Pardo 43 has established itself as one of the most successful walkaround yachts in the world, raising the bar in its segment to a new level. 

The exterior of the second generation version has undergone some evolutionary changes and become more modern and functional. “Cosmetic” revisions affected the external air intakes integrated into the hull, the windshield, the T-top and windows in the hull. In addition, the sunpad and side walkways have been enlarged. According to the yard, these changes were made in answer to the owners’ wishes, as well as in accordance with the vision of the yard. 

The Pardo 43's bow section features a lounge area with a sunpad and a forward-facing mini-sofa, opposite which the steps of the foredeck can also serve as a comfortable seat, as well as a convenient gangway.

The central part with a three-seat helm station (whose new, intuitive interface was developed in collaboration with Garmin) embodies all the benefits of centre console boats:  the space is perfectly zoned, although it remains open. Larger walkways combined with higher bulwarks increase safety and freedom of moving around the boat, while the carbon T-top that has been increased by 30% is now ready to be fitted with solar batteries (as an option) or can be supplemented with a bimini tent to protect the aft lounge from the sun. 

The galley has become larger, too, and is better equipped now: there is a sink, an induction cooktop and plenty of work surfaces; inside the cabinets there is a fridge and storage spaces. By removing the cushions and raising the telescopic table, the sunpad located closer to the stern can be transformed into a dining area.

In fact, the large aft sunpad is a model of smart design. Its forward section, with a folding table between the sofas, can serve as a cockpit dinette, while the aft section of the sunpad, slightly overhanging the swim platform, can function as a beach club and doubles as a garage hatch, easily accommodating all kins of water sports equipment. 

The aft platform has got some pleasant surprises, too: a retractable ladder with removable handrails, which makes it easy to enter the water, while the size of the platform allows for carrying a small tender or a jet ski.

As standard, Pardo 43 is powered by inboard Volvo IPS engines of 370 hp (440 or 480 hp as an option), but there is also a more powerful Pardo 43R version with three outboard Mercury engines of 400 or 600 hp, capable of delivering an incredible top speed of up to 50 knots.

Combined with a fuel tank of 1,300 L and a water tank of 400 L, the vessel is self-sufficient enough for an active sea weekend. The CE B category is the golden middle between the oceanic A and coastal C classes, as it allows one to spend a comfortable time in shallow waters (the draft is just 1.2 m) and make high-speed dashes from one port to another, going far beyond the coastal areas.  

Below deck, the P43 is as equally smartly organized and elegant. As you go down, you find yourself in rather a generous and well-lit space arranged like a saloon. The C-shaped seating invites you to relax by the table in the middle. There is plenty of storage space and a 32” TV integrated into the bulkhead.   

When it’s time for bed, the saloon undergoes a magic transformation, and there appears a full-fledged double bed. 

In fact, the shipyard thought of two layout options, and there can also be a master cabin with a fixed double bed, but the option with a lounge converting into a bed is definitely more appealing. 

There are two more single beds in the guest cabin amidships. The ceiling is considerably lower here and the lighting is artificial, but the light and warm shades of the finishing materials add volume and cosiness to it. At the owner's request, the shipyard is ready to use the widest range of materials, including premium fabrics and leather, as well as valuable woods. 

The 2026 Pardo 43 iteration is not just the old model restyling, but a dramatically reimagined concept, the creators of which managed to fine-tune the time-tested solutions with jeweler’s precision, bringing them to perfection.
