M/Y 115 is said to unlock almost limitless exploration opportunities for her owner

The megayacht that has not been christened yet and is codenamed as M/Y 115 has joined Italian designer Marco Ferrari’s portfolio, following the 137.5-metre Neptune and a similar philolsophy

The vessel with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure is meant for round-the-world voyages. The owners who want to extend the yacht’s capability into colder regions can be offered an Ice Class 1D notation: a reinforced forward bow structure will allow her to navigate through light first-year ice conditions.

Comfort on board will be ensured by advanced stabilisers, while her dynamic positioning system will allow for stops without dropping anchor in protected water areas.

The choice of propulsion takes the “green” aspects into account, too.  The system includes main engines, generators and a large-capacity battery bank, allowing for optimised energy use, reduced engine loads and quieter operation with lower emissions. There is currently no information about the performance characteristics, except that the vessel’s range will be about 7,000 nauticla miles.

The staggering internal volume of 5,000 GT will allow for luxurious conditions on board for up to 18 guests. There is a dedicated owner’s deck with a private helipad (the second one is on the sundeck), an exterior dining area, a terrace with a jacuzzi and a suite including a bedroom, an office, a library, a dressing room and bathrooms.

All the eight guest cabins, including four VIP suites, feature private balconies and panoramic glazing.

What is most impressive about the M/Y 115 is below the waterline, where there is a Nemo Lounge allowing one to admire underwater views sitting comfortably with a glass of champagne.

The six-person submarine is another opportunity to watch the underwater world, as it is capable of dives to the depth of 1,000 m. In addition, the megayacht’s garage accommodates two 12-metre limo tenders, a 10-metre open tender and a 6.5-metre RIB, jet skis and a wide range of other water sports gear like seabobs, kayaks, inflatables, etc.

The M/Y 115 surely features a beach club with fold-down terraces. There is also a spa center and an enclosed pool with a sea view aft. There is another 11-metre glass bottomed infinity pool on the main deck above the beach club, allowing sunlight to reach the lounge areas below. The yacht will also feature a winter garden, a cinema and a well-equipped gym.

The vessel is meant to be supported by a crew of 30 to 35 and a captain. The project's prospects are currently unclear and depend on interest from potential clients and shipyards. As of today, M/Y 115 is more of a showcase of the engineering and design capabilities of Marco Ferrari Yacht Design.
