Based on years of experience and expertise, Italian ISA Yachts (part of the Palumbo Superyachts group) has come up with an advanced design platform, Large Yacht Collection, offering clients proven engineering solutions and absolute freedom of customization
The idea of a designer collection of superyacht projects in the 80-90-metre size range was first announced in the summer of 2026. The 82-metre Amarcord 82 was unveiled first, followed by the 86-metre Amarcord 86, both designed in collaboration with Italian Nuvolari Lenard studio.
The ISA Essence 82М is the third project. This time the interior and exterior design were entrusted to Igor Lobanov, head of Barcelona-based Igor Lobanov Studio. The naval architecture and engineering were developed by ISA Yachts inhouse.
According to the designers, the ISA Essence project stems from a reflection on the relationship between continuity and evolution: on the one hand, the pursuit of balanced proportions and solutions that have proven their value over time; and on the other, the desire for innovation and new experiences on board. The team brought these two seemingly opposing goals together in a project deliberately distanced from current trends.
The ISA Essence 82М’s proportions are harmonious, the lines clean and the architecture immediately legible. Her silhouette is classic, and only when one approaches the yacht the complexity of the design reveals itself: sculpted surfaces, carefully considered curves, three-dimensional elements and graphic solutions give the vessel a strong identity.
With a length of 82 m, a beam of 12.8 m and internal volume of 2,250 GT, the Essence has some features typical of 90-100-metre vessels: a touch-and-go helipad, a lift connecting the various levels up to the sun deck, extensive storage capacity for tenders and water toys.
The garage can accommodate two 10-metre tenders, with a possibility of carrying a third tender of about 7 metres for the crew.
At the stern, there is a beach club of approximately 144 sq.m, which can be enlarged with the help of two large fold-down side terraces. Just above it, on the main deck, there is a pool integrated seamlessly into the vessel's architecture: its transparent bottom allows sunlight to filter down into the lounge below, visually uniting the spaces and creating a striking play of light.
The yacht offers seven cabins for 12 guests and crew quarters for 21.
The owner’s suite is located on the main deck forward, which ensures both privacy and superb panoramic views.
There is a wheelhouse above it, but the the aft section of the bridge deck is not dedicated to an additional lounge, but entirely to wellbeing. A gym, sauna, massage area and another pool create a comprehensive wellness area.
The displacement hull will be of steel, the superstructure will be of aluminium. The engine room is home to twin MTU 16V4000M63L engines of 2,240 kW, which can deliver a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. In the economy mode of 12 knots, the vessel’s provisional range is about 6,200 nautical miles.
“When designing Essence, we did not want to follow a trend. Trends inevitably belong to a particular moment in time, and our objective was exactly the opposite: to create a yacht capable of remaining contemporary over the years. In ten years’ time, I would like Essence to look just as relevant as it does today. To achieve this balance, we worked with strong, recognisable proportions, introducing innovation through the surfaces, the details and the way the spaces are experienced,” said Igor Lobanov.
