The name of Genesis, which stands for “origin, renewal”, is not incidental. Italian designer Edoardo Ridoli works with a long-term perspective in mind: he does not offer a ready-made project, but “a proposal for an owner ready to embark on a meaningful design journey”
For this very reason the Genesis does not have one length. The designers at Edoardo Ridoli Yacht Design & Architecture chose a fast displacement hull as a balance between efficiency on long passages and performance characteristics, while the dimensions and options of the vessel can be customised.
The propulsion system is not one for all either: the type of engines can be chosen individually.
As Ridoli puts it, the yacht’s exterior appears “composed and elegant from a distance, while up close it reveals a more sporty and assertive character”. Dark glazing lines add further dynamics to the profile, contrasted with bright white paint of the hull and superstructure. Large glazed surfaces also help to establish a “dialogue” between exterior and interior and provide great unobstructed views and abundance of natural light.
The Genesis can accommodate up to 12 guests and a crew of up to 14.
The exterior spaces layout offers various leisure opportunities including private time on one’s own in cosy lounges or socialising in the beach areas.
The architectural approach to the project's interior design is aimed at establishing a connection for the owner with the vessel’s spaces and the surrounding sea. The Genesis was meant to become a versatile, open platform that will evolve together with the owner, from the choice of a colour palette and finishing materials to onboard conveniences.
Edoardo Ridoli Yacht Design & Architecture is planning to unveil the Genesis privately at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2026.
