Gladius 52 Crossover Performance Yacht

The Gladius 52 Crossover Performance Yacht is a new project of a 52-metre yacht with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure

The yacht is not a classic explorer, but she is meant for long autonomous journeys across both hemispheres, while her internal volume just under 499 GT should make her operation and maintenance easier for the owners.

It has not been reported yet, which shipyard might build the project. At the same time, according to Sturge & Toth co-founder, Julian Toth, as the Gladius 52 can also boast efficient build logistics, build slots are available for delivery in 2027.

The Gladius 52 Crossover Performance Yacht features a sporty exterior inspired by the principles of automotive design and expansive main and upper deck glazing. A “cut” in the lower deck for the beach club and exterior tender and water toys storage makes the yacht’s exterior even more appealing.

The interiors are modern and of neutral colour palette, which gives the future owner an opportunity to tailor them to their own taste at an early construction stage. The yacht is meant to accommodate 14 passengers: there is a master suite, four VIP suites and two regular guest cabins.

The aft section of the main deck is versatile: its exterior lounge may be converted into a Touch and Go helipad or used for storing a tender. According to the project, the design also offers an open lounge on the bridge deck. One level up, on the sundeck, there will be a jacuzzi, a bar, a dining area and a lounge. Finally, at the very top, there is also an eagle’s nest with a sun lounger next to the radar mast, offering amazing panoramic views at the height of 11 metres above the sea level.

The Gladius 52 Crossover Performance Yacht’s underwater hull has been optimized for maximum fuel capacity, while keeping the draft under 2.5 m, which allows the superyacht to enter shallow coves. The yacht has a provisional top speed of up to 16 knots, and a range of 5800 nautical miles at 10 knots.
