Oceanco has always positioned itself as a yard capable of handling the projects that others deem impossible
It does not only build custom yachts, created from scratch for a particular owner. As part of Beyond Custom concept, it introduces the most extraordinary projects designed for those who dream of an outstanding yacht, unlike anything else available on the market.
Such is the latest Beyond Custom 101-metre design named Lily, which was unveiled on the opening day of the Dubai International Boat Show 2025. And it is not just an idea. According to Paris Baloumis, group marketing director at Oceanco, “Lily is not just a statement of intent; it’s a yacht ready to be brought to life”.

The concept was developed in collaboration with renowned Dutch Vripack studio. Its asymmetrically sculpted exterior that resembles a water lily is unusual not only on the outside. Inside, there is a split-level space with panoramic views, unexpected vantage points, and an opportunity to ensure absolute privacy for the owner and guests.

There are six guest cabins, and the top deck is dedicated entirely to the owner. One can access it via an elevator or stepping stones across the lily pond. There are also quarters for a crew of 33.

The naval architecture was developed by British Lateral Naval Architects. Lily is an evolution of Oceanco’s Energy Transition Platform (ETP), developed together with Lateral to ensure yachts can adapt to the evolving demands of the industry while enabling a phased transition to 100% methanol fuel. This approach is used to ensure that a yacht will remain future-proof.

Lily will be powered by a combination of methanol-reforming fuel cells and dual-fuel methanol/diesel engines, with dedicated tanks for both fuel types. The engines provide propulsion and charge the onboard battery system, capable of running on diesel, HVO or methanol.
“With the ability to switch between diesel and methanol, LILY can operate anywhere in the world without concerns over fuel logistics or supply uncertainties,” explains Simon Brealey, chief mechanical engineer at Lateral.
LILY will also integrate the ABB Dynafin propulsion system, which will lower fuel consumption and reduce emissions. The system features a cycloidal propeller with individually controlled blades. Their thrusting trajectories mimic the movement of whale and dolphin tails, allowing one to change thrust direction almost instantly and increasing maneuverability.
