According to the designers, the Anvil’s layout was created to enhance both the guest experience and the vessel’s operational efficiency
The concept of the project is based on contrasts, united by contemporary design. One of the Anvil’s key features is her profile: the compact hull with a powerful inverted bow was conceived to be “readable from a distance”, while it is balanced by the much lighter superstructure, which seems to float in the air due to the abundance of glass.
Another important innovative element is the location and configuration of the Anvil’s propulsion system taking up only one deck instead of traditional two, which allowed for more useable space and liveability, including a larger main saloon. It turned out to be so spacious that in addition to a lounge and a dining area, there is also a galley that can be made open for the guests to participate in the cooking process.
Sliding glass doors unite the saloon with a cockpit, in the centre of which there is a pool, and the beach area aft. Thanks to the fold-down bulwarks and folding doors, at anchor its area can increase almost twice.
The upper deck is dedicated to the owner: there are 47 sq.m of indoor and 50 sq.m of outdoor space at their disposal.
The guests can be accommodated across four double suites. Behind the soundproof bulkhead there are four more double cabins for the crew, while the captain's cabin is located above, next to the wheelhouse.
For now, SY Design has not revealed any information about the Anvil’s performance characteristics. What sems to matter most to them is playing with volumes and the figurative perception of the yacht: “Every visual tension is a response. When imbalance is intentional, it becomes harmony”.
