According to the shipyard, the first Tankoa T450 hull, now known as Go, was sold at the end of 2021. The customer comes from the US, and he customized the project quite considerably. For example, on his request the original gross tonnage was increased from 430 GT to 450 GT, which made the interior volume substantially larger. The saloon on the main deck got more expansive glazing, and the one on the upper deck became more spacious.

Tankoa T450 is the first model under 50 metres for the Italian manufacturer, and her production will allow Tankoa, which is sometimes called a ‘boutique shipyard’, enter the segment of more compact vessels, offering a highest level of comfort and numerous opportunities for customization.

The design of the T450 with a steel hull and a superstructure of aluminium was developed by Giorgio M. Cassetta. The modern profile with an almost vertical bow and superstructure stands out for strong lines, sometimes softened by sleek details.

“The all new Tankoa T450 M/Y Go is a great addition to the Tankoa core fleet of superyachts and it is an incredibly flexible platform on which we can create semi-custom yachts, offering big volumes without compromising on the sleek and elegant lines,” says Claudio Corvino, sales and business development manager for the Americas and Asia-Pacific. “This first unit is a statement of what Tankoa can offer even at this size, and the final result was made possible by great teamwork between the shipyard, the young and enthusiastic client, and Giorgio M. Cassetta’s studio.”

The Go superyacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins. The master apartment is on the main deck, and 5 guest cabins are below deck.

Large windows flood the interior with natural light, increasing the spaciousness of all areas. The generous beach club is wrapped around by fold-down side platforms, while the pool can be closed with a large sliding sunpad during navigation.

There is a hydromassage tub on the sundeck and a dining area in the shaded part next to it. The upper deck houses a gym and a fire pit in the bow section.

The shipyard promises that the Go will be delivered to her owner this spring, and will premire at international boat shows in autumn. It is also known that the construction of the second unit of Tankoa T450 is already underway.
