The CL Yachts describe the CLB65 SUV as a sportier evolution of the CLB65

The first CLB65 SUV unit underwent the sea trials following her launch in Zhuhai, China, after which the yacht headed for Hong Kong, where she will get ready for her official premiere

The SUV in the model's name hints at the sports utility purpose of the vessel that CL Yachts positions as a marine crossover. Externally, the new model resembles the CLB65 without a flybridge, but the designers claim that she is “a sportier, more versatile evolution of the CLB65 platform”.

During the sea trials, the yacht underwent comprehensive testing validating her performance, handling and onboard systems. Moreover, the CLB65 SUV confirmed her provisional top speed of 28 knots at half load.

The vessel is powered by twin 1,136 hp Caterpillar C18 engines, and there is also an option of twin Volvo Penta D13 engines of 1,000 hp each and such features as the ZF JMS control system that can enhance her maneuverability and ease of operation. The naval architecture of the model is owed to Apollonio Naval Architecture.

The vessel’s interior designed by Supertomato Studio features a modern, airy style with natural materials and understated detailing. The owners can also choose between walnut and white oak finishes.

The open space on the main deck is divided between a galley at the entrance and a saloon with a dining area and a lounge. At the bow, there is a helm station on the starboard side and access to the lower deck that is home to three cabins: a full-beam owner’s, a VIP cabin forward and a double cabin with convertible beds on the port side. In addition, there is also a single crew cabin aft.

“The launch of CLB65 SUV is a major step in the ever-evolving journey of our brand. With its dynamic exterior, owner-oriented interiors, and robust performance, CLB65 SUV embodies our commitment to innovation, functionality, and contemporary yacht design, making it perfect for year-round exploration," said Martin Lo, Director of CL Yachts.

The new yacht will be presented to selected clients and brokers in the nearest future, leading up to her official premiere in December at the Hong Kong Boat Show.
