Feadship has been highly secretive about the yacht that has been christened Promise.D, so one only has to guess what it really will be like
For now it is known that the classical exterior of the vessel referring to the previous Feadship projects, was crafted by Dutch De Voogt Naval Architects, while the interiors come from Bannenberg & Rowell Design. The naval architecture was developed inhouse.
This 65-metre superyacht with a hull of steel and a superstructure of aluminium has a beam of 12 m and an internal volume of about 1800 GT. She is powered by twin Caterpillar engines.
Based on the photos made while the yacht was on transport through the Dutch canals, it is clear that this four-deck vessel has a number of special features. For example, a partly sheltered foredeck, a large exterior area on the bridgedeck aft, which can be used for storing tenders or as a helipad, or as a private lounge.
There is another smaller exterior area on the main deck, which is supposedly a beach club. The fold-down terrace starboard can serve as an extension of the beach club or a tender garage.
On the whole the vessel looks rather closed and isolated from the outside world. There isn’t any expansive glazing, there are not many exterior recreation areas, and the foredeck is mainly hidden, too. The owner might have ‘sacrificed’ all these features to achieve the highest level of privacy for himself and for the guests.
