Italian Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) has shared some updates on the sale of another Flexplorer 165 unit
With a length of 50.3 m this model is the largest to date by Cantiere delle Marche shipyard that specializes in expedition yachts. This is the third Flexplorer 165 unit that is currently in build.
The new unit was commissioned by the owner from North America. As an avid fisher, he asked to make several changes to the outfitting and layouts of the yacht. For instance, there will be three large tenders on board, so the crane’s capacity for launching them has been increased up to 4.5 tones.
Interior layouts have some interesting features, too. As the yacht is built for a large family, the designers have thought of converting the sky lounge into an additional cabin. A similar solution has been applied below deck, too, where some space can be used as a small lounge or an additional cabin.
Not many details have been revealed about the interior yet, except for the fact that it is owed to Italian designer Giorgio M.Cassetta. The exterior design and naval architecture come from Italian Hydro Tec studio.
With twin Caterpillar C32 engines, the Flexplorer 165 can develop a top speed of 15 knots. At a speed of 10 knots she features a range of over 5000 nautical miles. The yacht is equipped with electric stabilizers by CMC Marine.
