Construction work on the superyacht currently known as Hiu is due to begin early in 2025, but the delivery date has not been determined yet
The concept of the superyacht’s unusual design is somewhat reminiscent of Sherpa series models by Italian Arcadia Yachts. However, Hiu’s lines are less brutal, smoother and more flowing.
The high bow is similar to explorer yachts, while large overhangs seem to float in the air, due to the dark strips of glazing and concealed supporting elements, while the superstructure design dynamics resembles a sea wave.
The Hiu stands out for her expansive exterior areas. First, there is a 90-metre sundeck that is completely open to the sun, but protected from the wind with glazing around the perimeter. Designers seem to have fit in everything possible here: a sunpad, a bar area, a lounge and even a jacuzzi at the bow.
On the upper deck one level lower, there is an area with designer sofas, armchairs and a low table. Side staircases connect a spacious al fresco dining area and a lounge on the main deck with the platform aft, where a generous beach club appears at anchor, featuring a stylish sunpad, sunloungers, cocktail tables and a shower. The bulwarks fold down to extend this area at anchor, which increases the visibility up to 180 degrees and adds a few extra metres to the beach area.
To provide more private and secure recreation, the yacht offers four cabins below deck and a master suite on the main deck.
The technical specifications of the project are currently kept under wraps. For now, it is known that the Hui will have a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, and will be well-equipped for long cruises at a speed of 12 knots.
“Designing Hiu has been an exciting challenge, and we believe she will set a new standard in her category. Her flowing lines and expansive outdoor areas create a seamless connection between the yacht and the sea, offering her guests an unparalleled experience of luxury and relaxation," said Fatih Surekli, managing director of Red Yacht Design.
