SilverCat 47 to open new generation of power catamarans

The SilverCat 47 is to be the first embodiment of the UAE-based yard’s new approach to design and space planning, which will be a hallmark of the entire second-generation lineup 

With a length of 14.32 m and a beam of 4.92 m, the catamaran allows for generous interior and exterior spaces for the owners and their guests to enjoy spending time together. Connection with the sea is said to be the brand’s signature feature, so all the exterior spaces were designed to ensure there is a continuous contact with the surroundings. 

There is a lounge with sofas, a bar, a table and a sunpad aft, while the optional fold-down balconies further extend the area. The automatic swim ladder designed in-house provides comfortable access to the water. The owners are free to tailor the cockpit to their taste, too, as it is available in several configurations. 

There is also an area for socialising and entertainment with comfortable seating for up to eight guests that can also be used underway for a more exhilarating experience. At anchor, it can be shaded with an extended hardtop. 

The interiors of the new lineup will feature a contemporary style with upgraded finishes that will be soft to touch, easy to maintain and pleasing to the eye. 

The open-plan layouts and panoramic glazing create a light and comfortable atmosphere, while the glass doors allow one to unite the saloon with the cockpit. There is a twin-seat social helm with twin companion seats on the starboard side, while a tropical HVAC package was engineered for reliable performance in the hot climate.

The new catamaran offers two cabins for up to four guests. Thanks to the windows and skylights, the spaces are well-lit. Moreover, they are all ensuite. 

The yard has not revealed any information about the new vessel’s performance characteristics yet, except that there is a plan to equip her with twin 600 hp engines. The model also reflects SilverCat's commitment to sustainable boatbuilding, using recycled PET foam core material made from 100% recycled plastic, which reduces CO₂ emissions during production considerably, while preserving the strength and durability of the hull.
