For ISA Yachts (one of Palumbo Superyachts brands), the creation of the new technical platform means reducing design time and an opportunity to combine proven engineering solutions with the flexibility of custom builds
According to the creators of the platform, the appearance of this concept is a natural evolution in the large yacht segment both for ISA Yachts and for the entire Palumbo Superyachts Group.
As Sole Director of Palumbo Superyachts, Giuseppe Palumbo, puts it, “Every owner envisions their yacht differently. Our task is to turn that vision into reality, without compromise. The ISA Large Yacht Collection was created with precisely this objective: to offer the freedom to develop a fully customised project, supported by the strength of a technical platform shaped by the experience gained in building our large yachts”.
The foundation of the Collection has already been laid: it will include the 80-metre My Dragon superyacht launched in 2019, as well as the ISA Custom 80, ISA Gran Turismo 80 and ISA Gran Turismo 100 that are currently in build.
Moreover, there is another project created to inaugurate the collection named the Amarcord 82, designed in collaboration with Italian Nuvolari Lenard studio. The 82-metre yacht with a length of 82 m, a beam of 12.80 m and a draft of 3.65 m will feature a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.
The sinuous lines of the exterior combined with a classic sharp bow create a contemporary silhouette, while expansive glazing adds airiness and ensures abundance of natural light.
The key feature of the project is the aft section with a split-level beach club. The main deck cockpit is home to a dining area, a seating group with a glass-bottomed swimming pool, allowing natural light to reach the lounge below. There is space for relaxing right by the water, which can become even more impressive with the help of fold-down balconies and retractable swim platform.
The other decks offer lots of opportunities for al fresco living, too: each of them features panoramic lounges and a dining area, and there are pools on the sundeck and the upper deck.
The Amarcord 82 can accommodate twelve guests across five VIP cabins and a master cabin of over 100 sq.m.
The shipyard’s representatives emphasise the fact that the ISA Large Yacht Collection was created to allow each owner to tailor the project to their individual lifestyle and preferences.
“For ISA Yachts, the future of luxury is not about offering a yacht to choose from, but about providing the tools to build one that does not yet exist”, says the shipyard’s official statement.
