This compact multihull will be capable of near-silent performance and a top speed of up to 12 knots

The “E” version of the catamaran is an evolutionary step in the development of environmentally friendly yachting. The model was introduced right after the diesel-electric Oceanwalker S60 unveiled in April 2025.

The new vessel is powered by two electric motors of 200 hp (150 kW), which can deliver a top speed up to 12 knots and a cruising speed of 7-8 knots in complete silence.

The creators of the catamaran have not yet announced how far the S60e will be capable of cruising in the purely electric mode, but for longer voyages there are twin diesel generators of 45 kW, ensuring a range of 800 nautical miles.

The main feature of the S60e project is the use of PV elements: the catamaran will feature impressive lithium phosphate battery systems. The 10 kW solar array will deliver the energy necessary for the hotel load, which will provide the owners with a lot more time without having to rely on conventional sources of power. There will be enough energy for all onboard systems and amenities, including air conditioning, electric cooking and laundry.

Despite rather modest dimensions (a length of 18.29 m, a beam of 8.38 m), the Oceanwalker S60e comes in a three or four-cabin configuration and is capable of accommodating six to eight people. The saloon is home to a helm station, a galley with a bar and two lounges that can be transformed into dining areas or completed with another lounge in the cockpit, when the doors are open.

There are sunbathing areas both forward an aft, featuring three swim platforms: a high one in the centre between the hulls, and two more right by the water. A spacious flybridge with an upper helm station and two seating groups invites the guests to enjoy the sea breeze in the shade of a hard top.

According to Edward Sacks, CEO of Revolution Marine Group, construction of the first unit is well underway at Fujian Sky Walker yard in Zhangzhou, and the delivery is scheduled for April 2026.

“Our engineering experts are closely overseeing every stage of the build process to ensure the highest standards of quality, performance, and durability. While we are delighted with the introduction of our initial solar electric catamaran, we continue to focus on staying ahead of the market when it comes to new and innovative technologies," he said.
