The competition was organised by PROyachting with the support of Saint Petersburg Sailing Union
On the first day of the competition the Gulf of Finland greeted participants with excellent sunny weather and westerly wind of 10–18 knots. Five races were held under these conditions, with the OneMore team as the leader after finishing first four times. The Amigos crew, the season's top favorite and winner of the second and third stages, finished the day in second place (10 points). Smart Race team was third in the standings at the end of Saturday (15 points).
On Sunday, the wind picked up to 20 knots, and four more races were added to the standings, shaking up the leaderboard. Competition was fierce, with participants finishing with minimal margins.
Amigos showed the best result of the day, finishing first in every race and securing the stage gold by a margin of just one point. One More crew was second in the final, while Valkyrie team rounded out the top three.
The top crews of the series received their well-deserved awards. Victory in the final stage solidified Amigos' position in the standings, making it the season champion.
The battle between the main contenders for the silver medal – Smart Race and One More teams – was no less intense. The outcome was decided literally in the final races. In the end, luck was on the side of Smart Race, while One More took the bronze medals.
