The competition has the status the Russian Cup in the J/70 Class and is supported by the Russian Yachting Federation
12 strongest crews of the country have taken part in the regatta. Among the participants, there are yachtsmen from Moscow, Vladivostok, Tolyatti, Chelyabinsk, Krasnodar, Izhevsk, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Samara, Taganrog and Sochi.
There were three races on Friday. The wind was gusty and changeable, up to 10 knots, which affected the situation on the course a lot and required maximum concentration from the yachtsmen.
The winner of PROyachting Cup 2024, Bars Sailing Team, took the lead almost from the start. Aladdin team finished the first day of the races just one point behind the leaders. W Sailing Team was third.
On Saturday, there were two more races, as a result of which Bars Sailing Team managed to retain its advantage and increased the lead over the closest rival, Aladdin team, by three more points. M&M’s team gained one position and moved up to the third place.
On the final day of the regatta, there was a wind of 10-15 knots, with gusts up to 18 knots, and four more intense races were held.
Bars Sailing Team won the stage with 11 points. Aladdin got the silver (19 points), while Ptichki Sailing Team (32 points) became third.
