
The competition has the status of the Russian Cup in the J/70 Class and is supported by the Russian Yachting Federation
12 of the strongest crews of the country have taken part in the competition with sailors from Moscow, Vladivostok, Tolyatti, Chelyabinsk, Krasnodar, Izhevsk, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Samara, Taganrog and Sochi.
Five races were held on the first day of the competition. The fight was fierce: the leaders, Karen Stepanyan’s Bars Sailing Team and Georgy Sokolovsky’s Aladdin team, finished the first day with an equal number of points. The third place went to Elvira Pinchuk’s Ptichki Sailing Team with eight points.

On Saturday, with a changing wind of 5-6 knots, three more races were held, as a result of which Bars Sailing Team managed to retain its advantage and increased the lead over the closest rivals, the Aladdin crew, by four points. The Calipso team gained one position and moved up to third place.
The final day of the regatta was another trial for the participants, with a changing wind with gusts up to 10 knots. There were two more dynamic races.

Bars Sailing Team won the third stage with 14 points. The silver medals went to Aladdin with 20 points, and the bronze to Calipso with 36 points.
The final stage of the Russian Cup on the J/70 Class is scheduled to take place on 23-27 October on the Black Sea at Imeritinsky yacht port.
