There are plans to hold two series, each of which will consist of five stages
One can take part in any number of events or all of them to compete for the series' grand prize. The regatta format and program have been designed with the participants' skill levels in mind. The races will be held for J/70 class yachts.
Sochi Winter Cup is a series of races in the Olympic waters for both experienced sailors and newbies. The series will run from December to April. The strongest crew will get the main off-season award, the Sochi Winter Cup.
Sochi Winter Fun Race is a series of races for novice helmsmen capable of handling a yacht confidently but wishing to hone their skills in open waters. Beginners can take part, too, but in case a professional skipper helms the yacht, the team incurs penalty points. All five stages of the series will take place at Imeretinsky port from November to March, with the top crew claiming the Cup.
