On Sunday, May 18, PROyachting company opened the new sailing season in the capital of Russia
PROyachting company was founded in 2013 by Honored Master of Sports, World and European Champion Ekaterina Skudina and Master of Sports of International Class Mikhail Kondratyev. The company holds amateur, professional and corporate regattas, training and master classes for yachtsmen of all levels.
24 crews have taken part in the regatta dedicated to the opening of the 2025 season. The first prize was taken by Intersen-Plus crew, a regular participant of PROyachting Night Races. A lot of newbies took to the course along with the experienced crews, too, with professional skippers helping them to handle their boats.
“It is the first time I’ve taken part in a regatta”, said Matvey Dryagin, member of an assembly crew. “It was my first experience with a sport yacht. At first, I couldn’t understand anything and the instructor told me which ropes to pull. By the second race I could already understand what was expected of me. I will definitely take part in regattas again, and not once”.
After the races, there was a ceremony to award the prize-winners of Night Races of the 2024 season and the 2024/25 Winter Races series.
The winner of Tuesday Warm-Up Race is “Mir” crew, who had come first seven times and won a confident victory in the overall standings.
Black Swan crew became the winner of Wednesday Night Race series, while the main prize of the 2024 season in the PROyachting Fun Race Thursday Night Races went to “Intersen-Plus” for the second year in a row. The crew won gold medals nine times during the season and was seven points ahead of their closest rivals.
#enJoinSailing crew won the Sochi Winter Cup series: the crew had not missed a single stage and had always won either gold or silver.
In the Winter Fun Race series for beginner helmsmen, the Champion's Cup was taken by Self crew, who had won gold medals three times during the season.
“Russo Trans” crew became the best in the PROyachting Winter Challenge series for experienced yachtsmen, with three gold and two silver medals at the end of the season.
“Last season will be remembered for its fierce sport competition, arrival of new strong teams and friendly communication on the shore. I would especially like to note that there was a truly homely, cozy atmosphere throughout all stages," said Mikhail Kondratyev, CEO of PROyachting.
Among the partners of the PROyachting 2025 sailing season there is “Tassay” natural mineral water, “Morpribor” watch brand, World Class fitness clubs.
