With deep sorrow Dutch Heesen Yachts shipyard has announced the passing of its founder, Frans Heesen, who died on 23 April 2025 in his hometown of Oss

Frans dedicated his entire life to the shipyard, fostering an environment that felt more like a family than a business. Today, this sense of family and the values he instilled continue to define Heesen. Frans’ contributions have left an indelible mark on the yachting industry: bold and sometimes audacious steps defined the future of the shipyard known as one of the world’s leaders of the industry.

Frans Heesen has influenced everyone who had the honour of working with him. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit and vision will forever remain a guiding force at Heesen Yachts.
