Awake and Brabus launch limited edition Shadow Explore jetboards

“We didn’t just want to create another board – we wanted to make history. The Shadow Explore is a state-of-the-art collectible and a statement. It’s for the select few who don’t just follow trends – they create them," said Christos Nicolaou, Head of Marketing at Awake
To create Shadow Explore, Swedish electric jetboard manufacturer Awake teamed up with German automotive aftermarket high-performance tuning company Brabus, best known for Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Rolls-Royce upgrades, turning them into real pieces of art and ending up in Guinness Book of Records.

The starting point was the Explore board by Awake, launched earlier this year. It is a PVC/foam board of optimised shape, ensuring it’s durable and stable. Brabus signature glossy black and red accents make the design look modern and somewhat aggressive, while the red LED lighting makes the jetboard look high-end.

The length of the board is 1.85 m, the width is 0.72 m, it is 0.18 m thick and it weighs 39 kg. It has lots of grab handles and comes with foot straps, carbon-fiber performance fins and a wheeled transport bag as standard.

What matters most is definitely the enhanced performance characteristics. The board features an 11-kW high-torque linear e-jet, thanks to which the original top speed of 40 km/h has gone up to 55 km/h, making Shadow Explore one of the fastest on the market in its class. For the riders in need for even more speed, there is a special Brabus mode for 37.5% more acceleration and “the most powerful torque in the industry”.

The Awake's XR4 battery that takes 120 minutes to charge and is enough for up to an hour on the water. Chargers for the board's battery and the hand controller are included.
The jetboard is controlled with an upgraded wireless remote, which is easy to hold even wearing gloves. Real-time tracking is available through the mobile app.
The Brabus & Awake Shadow Explore Jetboard model is limited to just 77 units worldwide and costs €15 900.
