The Majesty 100 Terrace made her debut in 2025, at the the largest show in the Middle East, the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS)

And she did not just make a debut, but stole the show. Firstly, because Gulf Craft and one of its brands, Majesty, is the real driver of yachting industry in the Middle East, where DIBS has always played a central role. Secondly, with its 40 years of experience, Gulf Craft can compete with European shipyards on an equal footing. And they have been exhibiting at the DIBS a lot recently, as they can feel the market prospects. Thirdly, the model itself is so unusual that at present there is just one yacht of a similar concept in the world, but of a much smaller size. What is so special about the Majesty 100 Terrace and what “terrace” is mentioned in her name?

Design

The premiere of the 100-foot Majesty 100 model by Gulf Craft back in 2017.  Since that time 17 units have been built and delivered all over the world thanks to the fact that the model offered the internal volume typical of far larger yachts. Having retained this feature, the new Majesty 100 Terrace received fresh design elements and even more space, this time thanks to open decks.

The idea of using the yacht’s exterior foredeck more efficiently has occurred to many designers, but it’s only now that they have managed to implement it. The bow section of the main deck is traditionally used as a place for al fresco recreation, but in bad or really hot weather there are not many people who want spend time there, so the space is wasted. So, what if you add shelter to it and make it usable all year round?

The Italians from Ferretti Group were the first to bring this idea to life. In the autumn of 2024, the 23-metre Ferretti Infynito 80 with a similar foredeck design made her debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The upcoming world premiere of the Majesty 100 Terrace was announced at that exhibition, too. And there is no talk of plagiarism here. Designing and building yachts of this size takes years, and the idea was in the air. Due to the larger length, on board the Majesty 100 Terrace, this space is a lot larger and has been realized in a completely different way and with different goals.

On board the Ferretti Infynito 80, this protected bow terrace serves as a continuation of the saloon, or rather the galley located at its front. It serves as a compact (13 sq.m) dining area or a lounge. To access this terrace, one has to go out onto the deck through the galley door. On board the Majesty 100 Terrace, this space is a lot larger and is the continuation of the master suite located forward. It is a private space meant for the owner, so it has direct access from the master cabin. It can be arranged in different ways, but on board the first Majesty 100 Terrace, there is a generous sunbed and a small table with free-standing armchairs for a private breakfast or cocktail.

The Majesty 100 Terrace also features other enhancements. There are fold-down “balconies” in the aft cockpit, which can open at anchor and extend the area of the cockpit by 20%. The main deck saloon features floor-to-ceiling windows and is flooded with natural light. To extend the space even more, the staircase leading from the saloon to the upper deck is floating in the air. Finally, the windows below deck have been increased, too, to make the guest cabins of the lower deck look lighter and more spacious, too.

Interior

The interior space of the Majesty 100 Terrace was entrusted to Dutch Phathom Studio. In addition to Gulf Craft, this studio collaborates with such shipyards as Sunreef, Bering, Wider, Extra Yachts, and is known for its non-standard approach to the arrangement of space on board. Having studied the strengths of the original Majesty 100 model, Phatom Studio came up with quite a few improvements for the Terrace version, mainly related to the connection of interior and exterior deck space and lighting. For example, the floating staircase in the saloon mentioned above does not only connect all three decks, but also serves as a kind of “light well”, providing natural light at all levels.

The interior finishes offer a good balance of luxury and practicality to avoid visual fatigue on long voyages. The designers proposed two basic style solutions that the future owners of the Majesty 100 Terrace will be able to use a starting point for their yacht customization. The first one features light, nature-inspired tones and soft textures. The second one is based on the contrast of darker, more intense colours, complete with smooth lines and natural materials.

Almost all designers try using recycled materials these days, and although in many cases it is just a marketing trick, these initiatives are interesting anyway. The Majesty 100 Terrace’s interiors are no exception. For example, the cushions are made of recycled fibres, and the carpets of reclaimed fishing nets.

Layout

Another trend in modern yacht design – open layout – is fully represented on board the Majesty 100 Terrace, too. The time of small spaces used for one particular purpose is gone. Today there is a trend for no barriers, large and versatile spaces. In addition to visual spaciousness, it gives more opportunities for customization in accordance with particular requests.

In this respect, the Majesty 100 Terrace offers numerous options and is meant for very different purposes. She can be a private yacht used exclusively by the owner, or a popular charter vessel with new guests arriving every two-three weeks.

In the standard layout there is a main saloon and a formal dining area with a galley on the main deck; the owner’s suite with access to the private terrace mentioned above is at the bow.

The upper deck is a combination of exterior and interior spaces. There is a less formal skylounge that can be used as one pleases – from home cinema to a study, and a wheelhouse.

There is an open terrace aft, where there can be a dining area or an al fresco lounge. At the bow, there is a beach area with a jacuzzi, sunpads, sofas and a bar.

At last, below deck there are four guest cabins, two of which at the aft can be united into one to create another master suite if necessary. The crew quarters are divided into two. Two cabins for four are located foreword, while the captain’s cabin and crew mess are located at the stern, next to the engine room. There is a large garage for a tender and water toys nearby.

Technical characteristics

The Majesty 100 Terrace can be powered by twins of MAN, Caterpillar or MTU engines, which underscores the versatile nature of this model aimed at different markets and owner’s requirements. For example, with twin MTU engines of 2000 hp the yacht can reach a top speed of 20 knots. The cruising range is 14 knots, and at 10 knots her range is just over 1000 nautical miles. This data for the next units (the second and the third hulls are already in build, and the contract for the fourth one has already been signed) may be different.

What else should one note here? Probably the hidden anchor system that does not spoil the exterior and does not pose any danger to the passengers. As well as the draft of 1.87, which is quite modest, too. It means that the Majesty 100 Terrace can enter any marinas and waters, including the shallowest ones. One can conclude that the task of creating a modern versatile superyacht – rather compact, but really spacious – has been completed perfectly.
