The inaugural Sanya Boat Festival will take place in the “city of a thousand yachts” located in the southernmost province of China
This boat show will become the official on-water venue of the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE 2025).
The event will take place at three different venues, including Sanya International Yacht Center and two marinas: Visun International Marina and Serenity Coast Marina. 150 yachts and 45 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation. Compared to the most famous European and American boat shows, it’s not much, but it will be one of largest on-water boat shows in the Asia-Pacific.
The concept of the Sanya Boat Festival is «Yacht+», which implies integrating elements of the boat show as such with marine lifestyle, fashion, investment and watersports. For example, Vera Wang’s haute couture collection will be presented on a floating runway for the first time. The “Sanya Boat Night” investment salon will be of interest to industry professionals and well-off individuals. Additional “Blue Innovation” exhibition will showcase marine technologies and watercraft. And there will definitely be such conventional types of activities as fishing tournaments, sailing regattas and water stunt shows.
As China keeps developing its yachting industry actively, with time the Sanya Boat Festival is expected to become one of the key industry events, offering new opportunities for yacht brands to expand their presence in the region.
According to the organisers, the event should become a “shopwindow” and a “platform” for developing yachting in China as part of implementing the Hainan Free Trade Port initiative, aimed at positioning the region as a leader in maritime business and leisure.
