The B.Neos 40M concept created by Italian Benetti in collaboration with British Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design was first unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025. The delivery of the first hull is scheduled for the spring of 2028
The word “neos” in the model’s name originates from the Greek néos (νέος), which stands for “new, young, fresh”. In this way, Benetti wanted to emphasise the fresh and innovative approach to the superyacht creation.
The Benetti B.Neos 40M’s exterior design by Malcolm McKeon, who is renowned for his sailing yacht projects, reflects his signature features: a slender hull with a vertical bow and a slight stern overhang, a low-profile superstructure with continuous glazing and the harmonious proportions characteristic of sailing vessels.
The B.Neos 40M is the first Benetti displacement yacht with a sub-300 GT internal volume that features hybrid propulsion as standard. The innovative MAN Smart Hybrid System combined with twin MAN V8-800 engines boasts a silent mode for full-electric power, reduced fuel consumption and minimal emissions.
The B.Neos 40M’s decks were designed to ensure close connection with the sea and a balance of spaces for socialising and privacy.
There is an effortless transition from interior to exterior spaces on board. For instance, the lounge area with a pool flows smoothly into a Sea Atrium, which is a 2.4-metre-high lounge space surrounded by floor-to-ceiling panoramic glass walls.
The same deck is home to an open galley conceived as a centre of socialising. In this cosy and informal setting, the owners can cook themselves or arrange family meals. For more formal dinners, the galley can be enclosed with a sliding glass partition.
The yacht can accommodate up to ten guests. There are four cabins below deck, and the helm station has been moved to the main deck forward to dedicate the entire upper deck to the owner. The owner’s suite with its 270-degree panoramic views and access to a private terrace is more typical of yachts over 60 m.
Francesca Muzio of FM Architettura, who was in charge of the interior design, describes the atmosphere on board as “personal rather than monumental”. It favours a warm and tactile colour scheme with a "lived-in", more relaxed approach rather than "formal perfection" often found on superyachts.
What is most interesting is that the B.Neos is one of the first Benetti models included into the Peace of Mind program that was designed to protect the vessel’s long-term value and eliminate operational concerns through a comprehensive ecosystem of after-sales services. In addition to technical services and operational management (supported by a dedicated crew academy), the program includes lifestyle and turnkey services via Yachtique interior design division of Azimut|Benetti Group.
This approach culminates in Yacht as a Service, or YaaS, where yacht and services are integrated into a single five-year solution of ownership.
The Benetti B.Neos 40M is aimed at the new generation of younger owners, who value modern technology, sustainability and privacy more than traditional classical luxury.
