According to British Dixon Yacht Design, based on their experience designing efficient sailing yachts, they created a “next generation” motor yacht: light, more technologically advanced, sustainable and, what is most important, boasting unique energy self-sufficiency for her class

The ОХО stands out for long lines of dark glazing and a near-plumb bow, making her profile look contemporary and dynamic.

Thanks to her smartly designed hull lines, the vessel will boast exceptional hydrodynamic efficiency. The studio has not specified the beam, but the hull is described as long and slender, which lowers the wave-making resistance. The decks descend towards the stern, which was optimised with the help of CFD (computer fluid dynamic) to ensure reduced transom immersion and drag.

In addition to advanced hydrodynamic efficiency, the OXO can generate energy of its own. She is equipped with solar panels with a total area of over 100 sq.m, expected to deliver 70 to 90 kWh of energy per day if operated in the Mediterranean and to contribute substantially to the hotel load.

“From the outset, solar energy has been treated as a core design driver rather than an add-on – fully integrated into the architecture, power management strategy and visual language of the yacht," explains the statement from the studio.

The use of hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system will allow the vessel to move quieter, with a lower level of vibration and fuel consumption, a top speed of up to 16 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

The ОХО’s layout is based on the idea of open interaction with the sea. The foredeck features a hot tub surrounded by sunpads and sofas. There are also sunbathing areas on the flybridge, which houses an additional helm station.

The main beach area is located on the generous aft deck, which can be increased with the help of fold-down platforms. There is also a second pool, a bar and an open lounge with direct access to the swim platform.

The vessel’s internal volume is 499 GT. The interior design was entrusted to Design Unlimited. The layout is said to reflect the idea of "modern life" and includes five guest and five crew cabins.

The OXO’s interiors are described as a combination of luxury, comfort and practicality. Streamlines organic forms, bespoke furniture and carefully selected natural materials create a cosy and welcoming environment, while the extensive glazing ensures abundance of natural light.

“More than a concept, OXO represents our vision for the next generation of motor yachts: lighter, smarter and designed to tread more gently on the oceans we all love," said Anders Berg, partner at Dixon Yacht Design.
