The 44.33-metre sailing yacht has been launched at the Dutch Vitters shipyard in Zwartsluis
The yacht previously known as Project 3093 was christened Magic. Her hull is aluminium, and her sloop rig means she's got a single mast that is 62 metres tall. The naval architecture, exterior design and deck plan are owed to Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design studio from San Diego, California, while her interiors are by British Design Unlimited.
Due to the fact that she is not a purely racing, but also a cruising yacht (despite her ability to reach high speeds), the Magic’s interiors were paid special attention in terms of comfort and atmosphere on board. The idea was to create a feeling of spaciousness with the help of open plan layouts and abundance of natural light.
Thus, the main saloon boasts panoramic views of almost 360°. No photos of her real interiors are available now, but the renderings revealed in September 2024 demonstrate contemporary style and a warm, harmonious colour palette.
The owner’s suite is located at the stern and features a large bathroom, two dressing rooms and an office. In addition, there are four more double cabins and crew quarters. What is interesting is that despite such a “personalized” approach, the Magic has already been listed for sale.
Just like other Vitters vessels, the Magic features advanced technologies and numerous innovative solutions both in terms of her outfitting and layouts. Thus, the aft area can be transformed into a beach club with direct access to the sea.
All the winches are hydralic, powered by in-house engineered power units. The yacht also features submarine anchor systems, as well as a peak shaving battery system for more efficient power management.
According to the shipyard, the design of the yacht’s sail plan allows her to demonstrate good performance under any weather conditions. Under motor the Magic can reach a top speed of 12 knots, and her range at 9 knots is 3000 nautical miles.
