The Xplorer 60 is built on spec, and Damen Yachting is currently looking for an owner
The Xplorer 60 has quite a lot in common with her predecessors, the 76.9-metre La Datcha launched in 2020, and the 58.30metre Pink Shadow that hit water in 2023. All these vessels come from one family of luxury expedition yachts, Xplorer, built by the Dutch shipyard, and therefore have a similar exterior and a number of distinctive features like a high and partially enclosed bow section with a panoramic lounge and an open aft section used for carrying tenders, water toys, a helipad and other equipment.

The expressive and brutal exterior design of the Xplorer 60 was created by Azure Yacht Design, the naval architecture was developed inhouse, while the interiors with a volume of 1160 GT are owed to H2 Yacht Design studio.
There are six cabins for 12 guests. There is a master suite with a lounge and an office, a dressing room and a bathroom on the main deck. There are also quarters for a crew of 16.

On board the Xplorer 60 there is a helipad, lots of storage space for various research equipment from a submarine to a whole fleet of tenders, an observation lounge with direct access to the exterior foredeck, an opportunity to arrange a winter garden, a gym, a dive centre or a wellness zone.
The interior design is described as sophisticated but natural. The finishing materials include wood, leather, luxurious fabrics, while the muted colour palette is inspired by the ocean and remote landscapes.
It is reported that the Ice-Class vessel will feature hybrid propulsion, which will deliver a top speed of 14.5 knots and a range of about 5000 nautical miles at 11.5 knots.

The delivery of the first Xplorer 60 is scheduled for June 2025, and according to the information available ilodka.com Damen Yachting has already started work on the second unit.
“We expect the future will see more owners demanding the autonomy, safety, flexibility and luxury that the Xplorer series offers. That is why we decided to build the Xplorer 60 on spec for fast delivery. This is the only luxury explorer yacht available in her class and an amazing opportunity,” said Rose Damen, managing director of Damen Yachting.
