The Elvi's official premiere is scheduled to take place at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026

The Swan 80 was unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2023 as an evolution of her predecessor, the Swan 78, and joined the Nautor Swan line of maxi yachts

The sale of the Elvi was announced in April 2024 and covered by ilodka.com in the article “Nautor Swan sells first Swan 80”. The yacht is scheduled for delivery this summer, and her world premiere is to take place in Cannes in September.

The first 80-footer by Nautor Swan (now part of Sanlorenzo Group) was launched back in the 1980s. At that time the Finnish shipyard just started collaboration with the renowned racing yacht designer, Germán Frers. The naval architecture for the current iteration of the Swan 80 is owed to him, too, but is now using the latest developments and technologies of the 21st century. The contemporary exterior of the 2026 model is owed to Lucio Micheletti, while the interior concept was penned by Misa Poggi.

The Swan 80 is positioned as the entry-level model in the Swan Maxi line, which comprises the Swan 88, 98, 108 и 128. Although she is the smallest of them, she can boast impressive volumes and opportunities of a much larger yacht. Moreover, she offers “more versatile and owner-friendly format”: with a length of 25.08 m (LWL 23.99 equals 80 ft), the Swan 80 can make the best of her size and design yet remain within the EU Recreational Craft Directive (RCD).

The Elvi is made of foam-cored glass fibre reinforced epoxy and carbon fibre reinforcements. The owner can choose a fixed deep, fixed shallow or deep telescopic lifting keel, so the draft ranges from 4 to 4.75 m.

The tapered bow and powerful aft section allow the yacht to maintain balance and stabilityat various heel angles, improving her performance, while two helm stations ensure convenience of control.

Among other distinct features of the line are the laconic deck with a low-profile wheelhouse, a flat cockpit with a few layout options and a fold-down transom, which serves as a gate to the tender garage and a comfortable swim platform.

Inside, the Swan 80 offers several options, too. The saloon is described as “expansive, fluid and effortlessly transformable”: the location and design of the dining and lounging areas can be arranged in accordance with the owner’s taste.

As standard, the yacht has a four-cabin layout for eight guests, with the owner’s and the VIP-cabin forward, two more cabins amidships. One of them can be turned into a cinema, a playroom or an additional dining room. There is a crew galley and double cabin with a separate access to the deck in the aft section.

As a “true maxi|”, the Swan 80 is a perfect fit for family cruises, charters and amateur regattas. We will be able to see how well the Elvi performs in competitions this autumn: after her debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, she is to take part in the Rolex Swan Cup 2026, scheduled for 14-19 September in Sardinia.
