First NL-branded project from Nuvolari Lenard studio hits water
Turkish Mengi Yay shipyard has launched the first unit in Serenissima I (S1) series at its production facility in Tuzla
The yacht is one of the recently unveiled models produced under NL brand, created by the legendary Nuvolari Lenard studio. The designers who have specialized in custom superyachts for years have now launched the NL brand for the customers who want a personalized yacht with fast delivery.
In addition to the Serenissima, which is a kind of “test of the pen”, Nuvolari Lenard has also offered a 52-metre NL 50 PLUS series. Designed in collaboration with Dutch Van Oossanen Naval Architects it is already in build at Mengi Yay shipyard. The potential owner can buy the yacht at a later construction stage to be able to get her fast, but have enough time for her personalization. Nuvolari Lenard is also working on larger NL 60 Plus and NL 65 Plus projects, where the numbers stand for the length of the yacht in meters.
The first unit named Serenissima is about to complete her sea trials, after which she will make her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show (25-28 September 2024).
The 47.5-metre model with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure was commissioned by an experienced owner, who had a very clear idea of what he wanted: a yacht that is good for the Mediterranean, not too large, but featuring such superyacht benefits as a dedicated owner's deck, a spacious sundeck and an elevator. She also boasts quite a large range of 4000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
The interiors of the boat were developed by Nuvolari Lenard team together with Valentina Zannier. Apart form the owner’s suite on a separate deck, there are four guest cabins, two of which can be converted into a VIP suite with the help of a moveable partition.
According to the yard, the sundeck is one of the most spacious in the category, while the main deck saloon features a fold-down balcony and a wine cellar. In addition to all the amenities for lounging by the water, the beach club also houses a retractable 2.6-tonne crane for the numerous water toys stored on board: three tenders, a jet ski and various diving gear.
