The four-deck yacht was christened Gindungо, which stands for the Angolan chili pepper
The exterior of this GRP yacht with a length of 28.43 m and a beam of 7.3 m is the result of a collaborative effort of the Product Strategy Department of Ferretti Group and designer Filippo Salvetti. The Gindungo interior was crafted by the top designers from ACPV Architects and the inhouse Custom Line atelier.
With her expansive glazing, over two-metre-high decks, generous lounge areas both at the bow and aft this Navetta gives her guests the spaces that are surprisingly ample for the category and ensures panoramic views from almost any point on board.
The creators describe the overall Gindungo style as “sport chic”. Her interior design is a harmonious combination of classics and modern aesthetics, where details of carbon fibre are side by side with the finishes of natural nubuck leather and American walnut, and natural marble of various kinds and quartz are used for tops and furnishings along with custom-made claddings of modern textured materials.
The skillful use of colour plays a significant role for the overall aesthetics of the new yacht, too: the combination of light and neutral tones with darker brown, tobacco and a whole range of green shades creates original contrasts and adds some spice and freshness to the interiors.
Five cabins on board the Gindungo provide comfortable accommodation for up to 10 guests. There are three more cabins for a crew of five, including the captain.
Twin diesel MAN V8 engines of 1000 hp each can accelerate the Gindungo up to 14.5 knots, while at a cruising speed of 13 knots the range is 2050 nautical miles.
